Julian has over 15 years of experience in asset valuations with regional and national firms of Chartered Surveyors. Ian joined Charterfields in July 2007 to establish an office in Manchester to support the growth and expansion of the company. Roger is a member of the RICS, qualifying in 2001, and a Registered Valuer, specialising in machinery and business assets and distressed business brokerage. Roger joined the Charterfields team in 2009 as a Director in the London office. Previously having held directorships in national firms of Chartered Surveyors as well as a City-based consultancy. Concentrating primarily upon two core business disciplines, Roger is involved with corporate recovery projects and asset-based lending appraisals, in the UK and overseas, although historically he comes from a multidisciplinary, international background, of over 25 years. Roger is a family man, whose interests include skiing, golf, clay pigeon shooting and foreign travel, particularly in Africa.

Helen McKeown joined Charterfields in 2020 to establish a Building Surveying team in the North West to support and grow the existing range of service lines to meet the natural cross-over in client demand for core building surveying services. Helen has over 16 years post qualified experience having been most recently at JLL for 8 of those years and has vast experience of building surveying within corporate real estate working on behalf of fund managers, asset managers and private investors.
Helen’s particular area of expertise is portfolio strategy in the following areas: Landlord and Tenant; pre-lease and lease exit dilapidations advice and strategy; Technical Due diligence; acquisition and disposal of prime property assets, defects pathology and diagnosis; Planned Maintenance; appraisal of assets and leases to identify opportunities for savings, compliance, asset enhancement, sinking fund and service charge forensics; Reinstatement Cost Assessments; portfolio appraisals of commercial and period property; Capital Expenditure; Projects and Contract Administration.
